Upon joining Eskew+Dumez+Ripple in 2010, it became clear that Christian’s talent, energy, and depth of design creativity would become a key asset to our studio. He utilized his digital design skills to add value to many studio projects in addition to his playing a key role on the major renovation assignment at Tulane University’s main campus library and as project architect for the national award winning St. Pius Chapel and Prayer Garden. In 2013, he left the studio to work with Trahan Architects upon their relocation to New Orleans, working mainly on a 40-acre master plan. That experience was put to good use upon his return to the studio a year later, as project manager for the 30-acre master plan with a high sustainability agenda and building design for the Thaden School in Bentonville, AR.
From the outset of his career, Christian focused on new technologies and how they impacted project workflow, an enthusiasm he took to Tulane University teaching classes in digital media. His passion now lies in thoughtful holistic design strategies that emerge from an innovative approach to sustainable design solutions. His background in digital media is a tool for working towards innovative architectural resolutions; he uses both technology and sustainable design as new ways to approach old problems.
