Michelle Carroll-Barr

Project Architect/ Interior Designer

Michelle’s interest in the built environment spans various scales, with licensure and experience in both interior design and architecture. Having worked on both small-scale residential projects and large-scale commercial buildings, Michelle thrives on adaptability, bringing thoughtfulness and care to every design challenge.

After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Interior and Environmental Design from Illinois State University and working for a short time in residential design, Michelle attended Tulane University in New Orleans to acquire her Master’s in Architecture. Since then, she has worked on a variety of institutional projects around the city, and she credits these experiences as a major contributor to her passion for community-focused design that works to serve the people of New Orleans. In the studio, Michelle is a passionate advocate for healthy, sustainable materials, championing the firm’s commitment as a signatory of the AIA Materials Pledge.

Originally from Illinois near the Mississippi River, Michelle now calls New Orleans home with her husband and two sons. During her time away from the studio, Michelle and her family can be found enjoying a Mardi Gras parade, attending a festival, cheering on the Saints, or simply enjoying all the natural beauty Louisiana has to offer.
