Ernest N. Morial Convention Center Great Hall
The Ernest N. Morial Convention Center is currently the sixth largest convention center in the country, boasting over 1.1 million continuous square feet of meeting spaces, amenities, and event areas. EDR was tasked with renovated the largest event space within the Convention Center, the Great Hall, as part of a major renovation to modernize the entryway and high traffic spaces in preparation for the increasing influx of conventions in the city of New Orleans. The Great Hall serves as a focal point for the Convention Center, located right off the Julia Street entrance.
The convention center industry in New Orleans is emerging with a renewed sense of energy and purpose. Convention and meeting attendees and their association executives seek unique experiences when they choose their destination cities. This trend in the industry has operators focusing efforts less on exhibit space and more on area attractions and amenities.

The redesigned entryway and lobby of the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center were crafted to create a striking first impression, mirroring the magic of the events hosted within. The redesigned Great Hall is a celebration of adaptability. Boasting an expansive 60,000 square feet of column-free space, this versatile ballroom sets the stage for events that range from grand galas to intimate gatherings. Immersive lighting options and extensive custom event amenities cater to the unique needs of any event.
The inclusivity of the Great Hall extends beyond its interiors. A thoughtfully designed rooftop terrace spanning 3,420 square feet provides an outdoor oasis, allowing event attendees to enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding New Orleans cityscape. Complementing this, an indoor balcony spanning 980 square feet offers even more additional space.
