Malina Pickard

LEED Green Associate
Architect

Originally from Seattle, Washington, Malina joined the DC office after graduating with a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Tulane University, minoring in both Business Management and Public Policy. During her time at Tulane, Malina received an architecture Thesis Commendation in 2022 and participated in design-build projects around New Orleans, including the Millhaus Façade at Tulane and the Sugar Roots Outdoor Kitchen in Algiers, LA.

Prior to EskewDumezRipple, Malina worked at Atelier Design in New Orleans. She also interned as Suyama Peterson Deguchi in Seattle and STUDIOS Architecture in DC. During these past experiences, Malina worked on a broad array of architectural projects including high-end residential designs, restaurant projects, and small commercial and hospitality projects.

Malina believes that material choices and design decisions impact human health and social experiences. Her natural curiosity about these impacts piques when focusing on interior spaces like restaurants or hospitals. During her design process, she studies ways design can prompt human behaviors and emotions.

Outside of the office, she loves to try new recipes, especially if it involves homemade pasta. Malina can often be found on long walks with friends around DC.
