The hospital features large windows, which give it an open, airy feel. The new New Orleans East Hospital opened quietly on July 12th. With the completion of the hospital, Mario Garner, the hospital’s CEO, and Karl Warner, the director of facilities for the hospital, are working fervently to restore emergency room services and surgical care to the area 9 years after Hurricane Katrina.
