Two Projects Receive Regional ENR Best Projects Awards

The ENR Regional Best Projects Awards program is dedicated to honoring the best construction projects and the companies that designed and built them in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Projects compete in 20 specialized categories, ranging from airports to sports/entertainment. This year, two projects designed by Eskew+Dumez+Ripple were selected by ENR Texas & Louisiana.
St. Pius Chapel wins AIA Louisiana Honor Award

The AIA Louisiana Honor Awards program recognizes achievements for a broad range of architectural activity to elevate the general quality of architecture practice, establish a standard of excellence against which all architects can measure performance, and inform the public of the breadth and value of architecture practice. The awards were given at the AIA LA Design Conference Luncheon, held September 11 in Baton Rouge.
Seven Projects Selected for AIA Gulf States Region Honor Awards

Architects gathered in Atlanta, GA to celebrate the 2015 Gulf State Region Honor Awards program during the AIA Annual Convention. The annual awards program identifies built works of distinction and strives to promote the excellent work taking place in the Gulf South by architects from the region (Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee).
New Orleans BioInnovation Center Receives COTE Top Ten Award

The New Orleans BioInnovation Center (NOBIC)—a four-story, 65,000 SF, LEED Gold Certified, biotechnology laboratory and incubator facility—has been recognized as one of the year’s Top Ten Green Projects by the American Institute of Architects’ (AIA) Committee on the Environment (COTE).
Designed by Eskew+Dumez+Ripple, the building is the first laboratory in the State of Louisiana to achieve LEED-Gold Certification and balances beauty with function resulting in a facility that consumes less energy than 90% of its peers.
Five Projects Receive Six Honors at AIA New Orleans Design Awards Gala

The work of Eskew+Dumez+Ripple was recently honored with six awards from the New Orleans chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Louisiana Chapter of the US Green Buildings Council (USGBC) during the 2015 AIA’s Design Awards Gala.
Myrtle Banks redevelopment garners national award

A restoration and renovation project that converted a historic former school building on Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard into a community grocery store and office space garnered national honors for a local contractor.
Ryan Gootee General Contractors received an Alliant Build America Award from the Associated General Contractors of America for the redevelopment of the former Myrtle Banks Elementary School building. The project was among 23 other winners from across the country and the only one in the state to be recognized by the AGC during its 2015 convention.
