Eskew+Dumez+Ripple Receives 2014 AIA Architecture Firm Award

Eskew+Dumez+Ripple received the 2014 Architecture Firm Award from the American Institute of Architects (AIA). This is the highest honor an architectural practice can receive and the firm is the 51st recipient since the award began in 1962.

“We reflect proudly on the accomplishments of our studio and the people that make our practice so unique and special,” says Steve Dumez, FAIA. He adds, “the events of this week make this honor all the more poignantly bitter sweet and the firm is truly humbled by this recognition.”

Regarding memorial services for Allen Eskew, FAIA

A private family service will be held in New Orleans. A public memorial will be held after the first of the year, with details to be determined and announced at a later date and time.
In lieu of flowers, a fund is being established to honor Allen’s civic and mentorship legacy. Details will be made available through the Eskew+Dumez+Ripple website.

In his 40+ years of professional practice, Allen cultivated an architectural practice of integrity and creativity; an enduring legacy we at Eskew+Dumez+Ripple will be privileged and honored to carry into the future. An extraordinary spirit and remarkable leader, Allen was a passionate advocate for the city of New Orleans, its culture, music and sense of community and place. He will be missed dearly.
